We are starting a spotlight on each student athlete that we are promote. These student athletes deserve everything and so much more so we are going to dive in and start with the senior class. This spotlight will be more than just about the sport they play, you will get to know each one on a personal level.

First athlete we are starting with is Wyoming East senior standout Hannah Blankenship. Hannah is from Saulsville,WV. She is a 5’9” forward who can do it all for the Lady Warriors. Hannah has played basketbal, tennis, softball, and cross country.

Her interests include sports and fitness. Hobbies include working out, hunting, and fishing. Her favorite athlete to watch is Luka Doncic. Which definitely makes sense since both play the forward position and can step out and knock down shots.

She started playing the game of basketball at 5 years old to be able to spend more time with her dad. She continues to play the game now and her motivation to make herself better is making her family proud. Her role model is her cousin Jasmine Blankenship who is currently playing at concord. When asked why Hannah told us, “ because she has always been like a sister figure in my life.”

Hannah has recently committed to play college basketball at WV Tech and will major in engineering. Hannah’s goal is to finish her degree and start her life.
