Our next student athlete we had the pleasure of talking to is Morgantown High School talented freshman guard, Kayli Kellogg.

Kayli is a tough nosed player who helped the lady Mohigans reach the state championship game a season ago. She averaged 16.5 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 2.7 steals per game during her freshman campaign.

Kayli has played basketball since the age of 4 where she first started playing at her dads basketball camp while at West Texas A&M. Finding herself in a gym she found the passion and love for the game.

After high school Kayli plans on playing college basketball while getting her degree in sports business or kinesiology. She wants to either become a physical therapist or become a basketball coach.

Kayli in her limited downtime is just like any other teen she likes to spend time with her family and friends. She also likes to hit the links on occasion too.

When asked her role models Kayli gave us two great responses, “ My parents are my role models because they show me what it means to work hard and they sacrifice so much for me to do what I love. My player role model is Paige Bueckers because I love her game but I also love how great of a teammate she is and how much she had to overcome from her injuries to get where she is today while growing her faith and keeping a good mindset.”

Kayli is one of the most talented players across the state, and she showed us that during her freshman season where she was a first team all state selection.

If you haven’t seen this young lady play you are missing out. She has already garnered two division 1 offers from WVU and Akron. She also has interest from a dozen other programs.
