Standout Players from Session 1

It felt so good to be back in the Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center covering the Girls basketball state tournament. Felt like things are coming together!!

First name we are going to mention is Calhoun county Junior Josie Montgomery. She led the lady Red Devils to a convincing win over River View. Josie led all scorers with 24 points and helped Calhoun get their first win in Charleston and head to the semi finals.

Next we will talk about Williamstown senior guard Jayla Wiseman. She Helped the lady yellow jackets to a close quarter final win over Frankfort. Jayla had 16 points and 12 rebounds As Williamstown now awaits the winner of the seven o’clock game which matches up Parkersburg against Ravenswood.

Last but Certainly not least we have Cameron freshman Ashlynn Van Tassell. Ashlynn had a huge game with 14 points and 14 rebounds to lead Cameron over Madonna by the final of 42-24 closing out the morning session.
