We are starting another series where we sit down and talk with student athletes around the state. We stayed close to home when we caught up with Charleston Catholic Guard, Max Wilcox.

Max has played basketball for 12 years. He said it felt natural when he first started playing the game. His mom played college basketball and encouraged him to give it a shot. Max is a great all around player for the Irish and is ready to lead them back to a state championship. Max averaged 12.1 points, 1.6 Stls, 2.6 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game last season. When you talk about tough, this young man played most of the season with a stress fracture in his left leg.

Max loves playing golf and pickleball, and spending time with his friends when he has a little down time. His favorite subject in school is History, and he is wanting to major in international business/ finance and his dream is to work on Wall Street once finished with his degree.

Max told us his 2 role models would be his mom and Greg White.
