Point guard from Wyoming East Skylar Davidson made it official with her signing to Glenville State College on Thursday evening. Skylar is a key piece for the success of the lady warriors. With a very solid Junior season last year Skylar averaged 14.9 points 8.5 assists and 5 steals per game with an assist to turnover rate at 4 to 1.
We were able to catch up with the Wyoming East guard and talk with her about her commitment to Glenville. When asking her what ultimately made her sign with Glenville Davidson responded, "Glenville plays the fast pace game that I play and I feel like I fit into their system. Everything felt right when I was went on my visit and I knew it was the next place I could call home."
Talking with her about what is going on with the current state of WV Prep hoops she stated," Its Heartbreaking that I won't have a normal senior season but at this point I'll take what I can get." Davidson is staying positive during the times of uncertainty by still working on her game when she can, and the crazy weather doesn't slow her down.
Now we had to ask a few questions to Skylar and we definitely got some pretty great responses. When asked who wins 1v1 her or her dad she had a pretty great response, "Me 100% I've gotten too strong and quick for the poor guy"
If we are able to have any kind of season this year keep an eye out not only for Skylar but the entire team from Wyoming East. A very solid team from top to bottom this team could be dangerous come tournament time.
