Now we are moving right along with our players to watch in class AAA. There are a lot of players in this class that we could have chose, but we have selected some that we are going to talk about.
We start off up north with Fairmont Sr junior guard Marley Washenitz. Marley is a recent signee for WVU women's basketball and will continue her athletic and academic career close to home at WVU. Marley has been a key piece for the 14-0 lady polar bears. Marley has been close to averaging a triple double this season and is ready to help the lady polar bears make it back to Charleston and get revenge for a first round exit a season ago.
Staying right at Fairmont Sr we will talk about forward Meredith Maier. Maier transferred into Fairmont this year from Grafton high school and has been a huge addition to the success of the lady polar bears. Maier takes some of the scoring load off of Washenitz while compiling a double double this season. Don't get it wrong she is one of the best finishers at the rim, but also can step back and knock down the jumper.
Right down the road from Fairmont we have 2023 guard Olivia Toland from North Marion high school. Toland is one of the top 23's in the entire state. She is a knock down shooter and dangerous anytime she has the ball in her hands. Also a very good defender and is ready to help the lady huskies make a deep postseason run. She has helped North Marion to a very impressive 10-0 mark this season.
Now we head to Nitro high school where we talk about senior guard Baylee Goins. Baylee is not just a top player in class AAA but in all of WV. Anytime she has the ball in her hands she is one of the most electrifying players in all of girls basketball. Baylee can knock down shots from anywhere on the floor or she can take you off the dribble and finish around the rim. She has been a key piece to the success of the lady wildcats so far this season while helping them to a 12-1 regular season record. She has one mindset this postseason and that is to cut down the nets in Charleston.
Now we head to Logan where we talk about Junior standout Peyton Ilderton. Peyton eclipsed the 1,000 point mark last year in the postseason, and has done nothing but improve since. She is a player that has been flying under the radar but is ready to make a run to Charleston. Peyton has helped the lady wildcats to an 8-3 mark this season and being in one of if not the toughest region is ready to show why she is a top guard in all of WV.
Now we head to Wayne high school and talk about senior guard Alana Eves. Eves has recently signed to AB to continue her academic and athletic career. Eves is a sharpshooter when it comes to the offensive end of the court, but don't let that fool you she can also lock you down on the other end. She has helped the lady pioneers to an 8-3 mark and the number 5 team in the latest rankings she is ready to make a postseason run.
Staying at Wayne high school we talk about 2022 forward Jasmine Tabor. A very good finisher around the rim Tabor would be one to watch this postseason. She can step out and knock down the jumper, but is one of the best around when going to the rim and finishing she can absorb the contact and still finish at the rim. She is ready to help the lady pioneers make a run this postseason.
Last but certainly not least we have 2022 guard Amya Damon from Huntington St. Joseph. Damon has been leading the way all season for St. Joe with just over 21 points per game. With a lot of departures during the offseason leaving St. Joe with a total of 7 players a lot of the pressure rested on her shoulders and she has been up for the challenge. Damon can shoot the outside shot or take you off the dribble and finish at the rim. She has St. Joe ranked third in the state and ready to make a postseason run.

The Wayne girls team actually finished the regular season with a record of 11-2
