With postseason play upon us we are going to take a look at a few players from around the state that should be on your radar. The ladies listed below will be key pieces to helping their team make a deep run this postseason. This is a very tough and loaded class this season with a lot of talent from the top to the bottom. One of the most talented classes we have seen in a good while here in WV.

Lets start with 2023 guard from Cabell Midland Jayda Allie. Jayda is known for her three point presence and is one of the most talented 23's in all of WV. Jayda while being known for her offensive game is also one of the best pure defenders in the state. She will take your best offensive player and make her non existent at a drop of the hat. She will be one of the pieces helping Cabell Midland make a deep run this postseason.

Staying at Cabell Midland we will now talk about 6'1 2023 forward Jazmyn Wheeler. Jazmyn is one of the top most versatile post players in the state. She can step out and knock down three pointers or can take you to the basket and finish around the rim. Jazmyn is a name everyone is talking about headed into the postseason.

Next we move on to George Washington senior guard Kalissa Lacy. Lacy the former state player of the year and now Morehead St signee is a proven leader for the lady patriots and is one of the top players in the state. Averaging around 22 a game this year Lacy is known for her sharpshooting but can also take the ball to the basket and finish. She will be one of the key pieces for the Lady Patriots this postseason.

Staying at George Washington we talk about 2024 standout Finley Lohan. Lohan has made a name for herself during the regular season by knocking down shots. Even though she is known for her shooting Lohan can take you off the dribble and finish at the basket. She will be a young name to watch not only for this post season but for years to come.

A name that has been talked about already this postseason is Morgantown standout forward and Depaul commit Kaitlyn Ammons. Ammons is a proven leader for the lady Mohigans while surpassing 1,000 points and 500 rebounds in her time at Morgantown Ammons has lead Morgantown to a 9-2 record and only has one thing on her mind and that is getting back to Charleston. Kaitlyn is another very versatile forward who can step out and knock down shots while also beating you off the dribble and finishing around the rim.

Staying up north we highlight Wheeling Park senior guard Lindsey Garrison. Lindsey is leading Park with more than 19 points a game and is deadly no matter where she is on the floor. She has hit 48 three pointers so far this season. She is ready to help her team get to Charleston after a disappointing end to their great season a year ago. She is primed and ready to help her team make a deep run this year.

Now we head south and will introduce you to Woodrow Wilson sophomore guard Keanti Thompson. A 5'4 guard who is quick off the dribble and loves to attack the basket. Don't let her size fool you she will attack the basket against anyone. She is also a very good defender and isn't afraid of anyone. She has flown under the radar a little bit this season but is ready to break out and help Woodrow get back to Charleston and finish what they started a season ago.

A name that is creating a lot of buzz is Huntington junior Dionna Gray. Gray transferred in this past off season from Huntington St.Joe and has helped the Highlanders to an 11-1 season and a third place finish in the MSAC. Dionna is a very quick guard who also likes to attack the basket but is known for her passing. What she does with the basketball and finding the open teammate is nothing short of special. She is ready to help the Highlanders make a strong push this postseason.

Last but not least we will talk about the guard duo at Parkersburg South. First we have junior guard Skylar Bosley who is putting herself on the map this season with her shooting. A knock down shooter is deadly when the ball is in her hands. Also complementing Bosley is junior guard Hannah Wingrove. Hannah is a lockdown defender and one of the toughest guards in all of WV. With this great duo South is a team to keep an eye on this postseason.
