AA Girls To Watch This Postseason

Now we dive right into class AA and there is a lot of talent in this state going overlooked. We will talk about six players to keep an eye on this upcoming postseason. A lot of these names you may not know but we promise you are missing out if you don't know these great student athletes.

First we will start with a young lady we have talked about recently with our POY front runners and that would be junior guard from Parkersburg Catholic Leslie Huffman. Leslie is a deadly shooter and extremely dangerous in every aspect of the game. Leslie has Parkersburg Catholic ranked number 1 in class AA and primed for a huge postseason. After a tough finish a season ago due to Covid-19 Leslie is ready to help get Catholic back to the state title game.

Next we stay at Parkersburg Catholic and talk about senior guard/forward Aaliyah Brunny. The duo of Huffman and Brunny is one of the top duos in all of WV. Brunny a very high basketball IQ is a dominant force on the offensive end of the floor. Brunny can knock down shots from the perimeter but can take the ball to the basket and finish at the rim. Keep an eye out for this duo when they get things rollin they are tough to defend.

Next we head to Wyoming East high school and talk about senior guard and recent Glenville St college signee Skylar Davidson. Skylar is the heart of the lady warriors and is ready to get the bitter taste out of her mouth from a season ago after getting beat in their region to a very tough Pikeview team. Skylar has had the lady warriors near the top of class AA all season long. They have lost 2 games all year and both losses have come to AAAA Woodrow Wilson. Skylar a very dominate guard whether that would be passing or shooting she is one of the best.

Now we talk about Summers County senior guard and recent AB commit Taylor Isaac. Taylor has been a key to the success of Summers County and helped them reach the state tournament a year ago. She is one of the best pure shooters in class AA and has had a standout season this year. With a tough region that they would have to come out of due to the reclassification it will be a tough road to get to Charleston. Summers County is a team that you can never count out, but get to know this young lady's name.

Now we head north to St.Marys High School and talk about 2023 guard/forward Zoe Davis. Zoe is an anchor for St. Marys and has dominated the glass on both ends of the floor while averaging close to a double double this season. Not talked about much but is a very talented young player who is making her impact while on the floor. Bright future ahead for this young lady and might want to get to know her name this postseason as she helps St. Marys make a run to Charleston.

Now we head to Charleston Catholic as we talk about senior guard Sydney Bolles. Bolles is an all around great player for the Irish. She has led them this season to a final ranking of 8th in class AA. She is a knock down shooter and is always hustling on the defensive end of the floor. Not scared to mix it up on the block. She has flown under the radar this season but is a name to watch this postseason.

We stay on the senior train as we dive in and talk about Magnolia senior standout Mady Winters. Mady has just become the all time leading scorer at Magnolia this season. Crazy to think she was out all last season due to an injury and is still the all time leading scorer. Mady is a top player in class AA and is a name not enough people are talking about. She has recently signed to play Volleyball at Wheeling University. She is primed to help Magnolia make a postseason push.

Last but certainly not least we will talk about Frankfort junior guard Marie Perdew. Perdew has had an outstanding season for Frankfort where just 4 short days ago eclipsed 1,000 points in her career. She is a very tough guard who has helped Frankfort finish as the 4th ranked team in class AA. Perdew is dangerous when the ball is in her hands, whether that is knocking down shots or finishing at the rim. She is ready to make a deep run in Charleston and put herself on the map.
